Our Lending Library

Our Lending Library

We have officially opened our lending library program which allows children and families in our three- and four-year-old kinder program to borrow books for home reading.

Through connecting reading experiences from home to kindergarten children are open to a wide range of stories that build children’s creativity, imagination, language and communication skills. This program encourages parental involvement and promotes a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Being read to helps children to;

  • Listen and respond to sounds and patterns in stories,
  • respond to stories with actions, comments, or questions.
  • Take on roles in imaginative play.
  • Understand the ideas and meaning of the story. (EYLDF 2023)

We would like to thank the parents who have begun borrowing books from our range of reading materials and contributing towards our philosophy of working collaboratively with families.
